More than 90 people gathered Nov. 24 for the Chabad of Putnam’s community babka bake at the Carmel VFW hall, to mix, knead, fill, roll, and top their homemade treats. Babka is a sweet bread that’s twisted, swirled with cinnamon and/or chocolate, and topped with crumbly streusel and sugar syrup.
