The Hamlet of Carmel Civic Association’s annual Holiday on the Lake celebration took over Gleneida Avenue on Dec. 7, when families flocked to the lake shore community to enjoy music, shopping, wagon rides with Santa, and more. The parade of lights was the main draw of the day, with many civic associations, youth groups, fire departments, and other community organizations marching along to favorite holiday songs, decked out in lights. The festivities included a chowder tasting at Spain Cornerstone Park, as well as carolers, a holiday village in the Knights of Columbus parking lot, tree lightings, and the arrival of Santa.
