In a project called River Valleys Culture Project Exhibition, sixth-graders at Henry H. Wells Middle School in Brewster built dioramas as part of a unit of study on ancient civilizations that depended upon rivers, such as Egypt, Mesopotamia and Inis Valley. The unit started with in-class lessons and culminated with physical projects shared amongst their peers. The displays, which were set up in the library, included maps and clay tablets, posters, pyramids, camels, monuments and river scenes. Students stood by to present, and answer questions from their peers who walked from group to group.
